American expert: The Middle Corridor is becoming a strategic topic on the international agenda

Regional connectivity and transport route development are increasingly important in international discussions, and in this context, the potential of the Middle Corridor is receiving particular attention, according to American expert Giorgio Cafiero, CEO of the international consulting and analytical company Gulf State Analytics, in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

He noted that the South Caucasus, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, plays a strategic role in the development of new logistics routes and supply chains. With global trade transforming, the importance of alternative transport corridors is significantly increasing.

The expert noted that the Middle Corridor was actively discussed at the Munich Security Conference, reflecting growing international interest in developing Eurasian connectivity. He assessed that this route is gradually becoming not only an economic but also a strategic tool for strengthening cooperation between regions.

He added that Azerbaijan plays a key role in the development of this infrastructure, serving as an important transit hub connecting Central Asia, the Caucasus, and European markets.
