Kyrgyzstan and China are launching a joint medical project, "Kind-Hearted Journey." The initiative aims to provide high-tech surgical care to Kyrgyz children with congenital heart defects (CHD), Kabar reported citing the Ministry of Health.
Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Deputy Head of National Health Commission of China Zheng Zhe signed corresponding agreement.
The ministry noted that this project will enable young patients from Kyrgyzstan to receive complex cardiac surgery treatment. Furthermore, the project will expand access to modern cardiac care, strengthen professional collaboration between medical institutions in the two countries, and create additional opportunities for exchanging experiences, implementing advanced technologies, and enhancing the qualifications of specialists.
During the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation also visited leading specialized medical institutions in China – Fuwei Hospital and Tiantan Hospital. During meetings with the deputy directors of the clinics, the parties discussed a wide range of promising areas of cooperation, including the development of cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, medical personnel training, joint research, the introduction of innovative medical technologies, and the expansion of academic and professional exchange programs.
The signing of the agreement and the negotiations confirm the commitment of Kyrgyzstan and China to further strengthen their strategic partnership in healthcare, implement joint humanitarian initiatives, and improve the quality of specialized medical care for the population.
