Şahika Ercümen: I laboured for 20 years for this 3-minute dive
National athlete Şahika Ercümen said, "I have been preparing for this 3-minute dive for 2 years. We can say that I actually laboured for 20 years for this 3-minute dive. We could not find the support we were looking for because our country was going through a difficult process. I went to the competition alone, my flippers broke and I had to compete with a borrowed flipper. It was a process with setbacks. Despite everything, I did not give up on the decision I made 2 years ago, I did not give up and we were able to achieve this dive at the end of 2 years."
