“The TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival held in Azerbaijan in May 2022 achieved great success. We recall this because we are also witnessing the rise of the TEKNOFEST generation in Azerbaijan,” Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEKNOFEST and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation, said, highlighting the active participation of Azerbaijani teams in the TEKNOFEST Southeast festival’s competition programs held in Şanlıurfa.
Selçuk Bayraktar recalled that teams representing 97 countries had submitted applications to participate in the festival held in Şanlıurfa, demonstrating the growing popularity of the event as it marks its 15th edition.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation highlighted modern Türkiye’s achievements in technology and defense. “Over the past 20 years, Türkiye has become the world’s largest producer of strike UAVs,” he stated.
“We operate in 40 countries worldwide and have established direct drone production in seven of them,” Bayraktar said, also noting that specialists who had previously left Türkiye are actively returning to the country.
