Hürjet flew with Turkish Stars
Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defence Industries, shared the images of Hürjet flying with Turkish Stars on his social media account.

Haluk Görgün shared on his social media account the images of the light attack and training aircraft Hürjet, produced by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc (TAI) with domestic and national facilities, flying with the Turkish Stars, the national show team of the Turkish Air Force. Görgün said in his post, "Rise Hürjet. You rise, let the flag rise. Hürjet, the national star of our country in the sky, takes its place among the Turkish Stars. The path of our Hürjet, which counts the days for light attack, training, patrol and acrobatic demonstration missions, will always be independent and open in the skies."

TAI HÜRJET WILL FLY INSTEAD OF NF-5 AIRCRAFT

In the statement made by TAI on the subject, it was stated that a first was achieved within the scope of the Hürjet Project with the flight, and added: "Hürjet, Turkey's first manned jet-powered aircraft, flew together with Turkish Stars, the aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force Command, on 3 September 2023. The Turkish Stars aerobatic team will fly with the Hürjet instead of the NF-5 aircraft it uses in the near future. The last flight of Hürjet, which has performed 17 flights so far and stayed in the air for a total of 9 hours and 8 minutes in these flights, and successfully completed the flight control system, air data system and aircraft system tests, was accompanied by Turkish Stars, the aerobatic team of the Turkish Air Force Command. In this flight, Hürjet stayed in the air for 37 minutes, reaching an altitude of 15,403 feet and a speed of 351 knots. After the flight, the Hürjet successfully landed on the runway and then performed the Elephant March with the Turkish Stars."
