The trilateral high-level meeting in Turkmenistan demonstrates the strong determination of the Turkic states to achieve joint development, Sinan Demirtürk, a member of the Board of the Turkish Strategic and Political Research Foundation (TÜRPAV), said in an interview with AZERTAC’s correspondent.
The Turkish political scientist described the high-level meeting between the leaders of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan as "a landmark event for the Turkic world" and a "contribution to integration" for the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Sinan Demirtürk expressed his confidence that the close interaction between Baku, Ashgabat, and Tashkent will contribute to the development of Middle Corridor between Asia and Europe, of which the Zangezur corridor is a part. The TÜRPAV board member also mentioned that "the meeting of the leaders of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan is also an indicator of a new economic vision of the processes in Eurasia," recalling that dialogue in the Turkic world has further intensified after Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.
