‘Nakhchivan will turn into important logistics and tourism center’

A meeting was held with a Turkish delegation participating in the 2nd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Regional Economic Forum in Nakhchivan.

In his speech, Jeyhun Jalilov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, emphasized the importance of the forum in further developing mutual trade and economic relations.

Noting that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to Nakhchivan, Jeyhun Jalilov added: “The State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027 is being implemented.”

He also highlighted that, as a result of the efforts of the head of state, progress towards launching the peace process in the region and implementing the Zangezur corridor will turn Nakhchivan into an important logistics and tourism center.

Jeyhun Jalilov then invited Turkish businessmen to engage in active cooperation.

The meeting also featured discussions on prospects for cooperation in areas such as cross-border trade, the use of customs privileges, eliminating trade imbalances, and other issues of mutual interest.
