SOCAR is Türkiye’s largest foreign investor, with 19 billion US dollar investment in this brotherly country. The company, which has implemented many strategic projects in the fields of oil refining, petrochemicals, and natural gas within these investments, continues to expand its activities in Türkiye’s economy by investing in new projects, said Ali Asadov, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister, during the 2nd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum held in Baku.
PM Asadov underscored that the document to be signed today on the purchase of the 870 MW power plant operating in Türkiye is a clear proof of this.
Noting that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the fields of industry and technology has also reached a qualitatively new level in recent years, Ali Asadov said: “The efforts to exchange experiences, develop human capital, and apply modern technologies, serve to strengthen our industrial potential. In this regard, knowledge and skills are transferred through the application of advanced technologies in manufacturing, specifically in metal processing, mechanical engineering, and other core industrial sectors.”
