The 4th International Symposium on “The Experience of Coexistence in Islamic Culture”, co-organized by the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, the Foundation for the Promotion of Spiritual Values, Türkiye's Kilis 7 Aralık University, and Indonesia's Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, will be held on May 7–9 in Kilis, Türkiye.
The symposium will address three main themes:
- Society: Examining coexistence in Islamic culture across diverse societies and highlighting notable figures who have promoted these practices throughout history.
- Education: Exploring ways to foster a culture of coexistence through curricula, active student and teacher participation, and interdisciplinary approaches, with particular attention to religious moderation in Indonesian education.
- Islam: Highlighting the unifying aspects of Islam and its various schools of thought, as well as the contributions of political and doctrinal Islamic traditions to a culture of coexistence.
The call for papers for the symposium remains open until April 30.
