Gaya Mammadov, head of the delegation of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, met with the head of the U.S. delegation, Congressman Joe Wilson, on the sidelines of the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Gaya Mammadov congratulated the congressman on his election as Chairman of the OSCE PA General Committee on Political Affairs and Security and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The parties hailed the personal relations between the leaders of the two countries, based on mutual trust and respect, as well as the high-level dialogue, the U.S. contribution to establishing peace and cooperation in the region, and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is expected to be held in the United States in 2027, as well as on other issues of mutual interest.
