Over 10,000 people died due to extreme heat in Europe
It was reported that during the heatwave at the end of June in Europe, 10,651 more deaths than anticipated were recorded.

The European Mortality Monitoring Network (EuroMOMO), supported by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), published the death data for the week of June 22-28. According to this, during the mentioned period, 10,651 more deaths than expected were recorded in European countries. It was noted that more than 9,000 of these were individuals aged 65 and over.
