13 people died as a result of a plane carrying tourists crashing in Peru.
Peru Nazca Police Chief Jorge Andrade announced that the plane, which took off from the city of Pisco, approximately 240 kilometers from the capital Lima, crashed in the rural area of Nazca. Stating that there were no survivors in the accident, Andrade said, “According to the information we have, 11 passengers and 2 crew members lost their lives. We have reached the bodies of 4 people.”
Andrade noted that the tourists participated in a sightseeing flight to see the Nazca Lines from the air and stated that an investigation has been initiated by the Civil Aviation Authority to determine the cause of the accident.
