U.S. President Donald Trump said, “Negotiations with Iran are ongoing. These talks are Iran's last chance to sign a good deal.”
U.S. President Donald Trump made remarks regarding the Iran agenda following a presidential decree signing ceremony held in the Oval Office. Trump stated that negotiations with Tehran resumed yesterday, claiming that Iran has made contradictory statements regarding the negotiations. Trump said, “At Iran's request, we are conducting talks supported by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and other countries. This is their last chance to make a good deal.”
While negotiating with Iran, Trump noted that the other side sometimes makes statements to the public claiming they are not negotiating with the U.S., expressing his discomfort with this. Trump emphasized that the primary issue in the negotiations with Iran is the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz, stating, “Later, we will address Iran's nuclear capacity. Iran will not be able to charge any fees from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. We currently have full control over the strait, and if anyone is to charge fees, it will be us.”
