Zelensky: 17 killed, 44 injured in Russian attacks on Kyiv and surroundings

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made statements on his social media account regarding Russia's air attacks on Kyiv and its surroundings. Zelensky stated that 24 ballistic missiles, 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles, and 115 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used in the attacks, noting that 17 people lost their lives and 44 were injured. He conveyed that the main targets of the attacks were warehouse facilities belonging to civilian enterprises, emphasizing that a brewery, construction material warehouses, logistics facilities, infrastructure systems, and a train station were hit, and that these targets had no connection to the war.

Highlighting that ballistic missile defense systems can save lives, Zelensky called on allied countries not to delay in supplying air defense systems. He pointed out that a significant portion of Russia's ballistic missile production is still not on the sanctions lists, and stated that the G7, the European Union, and all actors supporting the protection of life should take new sanction steps against Russia.
