Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said, “The consequences of the US's economic pressure policies on Iran will also affect Washington's economy and will return to them like a 'boomerang'.”

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf commented on the potential consequences of economic pressure on Iran and energy markets on the US economy in a post on his social media account. Referring to the recent steps taken by US President Donald Trump to control commodity prices in the country, Ghalibaf said, “Frozen meat imports to control meat prices? Okay, maybe it will work.”

Regarding the US bond market, Ghalibaf asked, “So, what is your plan for the bonds? Will you import frozen yields?”

Concerning the housing market, Ghalibaf posed the question, “Will you bring in frozen buyers for housing?”

On wage policies, Ghalibaf asked, “Will you issue frozen payrolls to find a solution for wages?” and stated, “A frozen foreign policy leads to a frozen and stagnant economy. What is the only thing still in motion? Iran's boomerang; it will return to your face.”
