Iraq's Prime Minister's Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji, in a statement to the country's media, touched upon Iraq's relations with Iran and Saudi Arabia. Araji stated that they proposed the establishment of a joint security coordination council to Iran and Saudi Arabia, saying, "The fundamental issue between the two countries stems from a crisis of trust."
No official statement has yet been made by Iran and Saudi Arabia regarding the matter.
