In a landslide at a waste dump in Guinea's capital, Conakry, 30 people died and 22 were injured.
In a statement from the Guinean government, it was reported that a landslide occurred at the Dar-es-Salam dump in the Gbessia region of the capital, Conakry, following heavy rains on the night of August 22 to 23. It was stated that 30 people lost their lives and 22 people were injured, 6 of them seriously, as the pile of waste and soil collapsed onto some nearby houses.
