Research: Artificial Intelligence is Robotizing
A new study shows that frequent interaction with AI bots in customer service and daily life can lead people to communicate and behave like machines over time.

An international research team has revealed that as artificial intelligence systems become more human-like, users are transforming their communication styles to adapt to algorithms and adopting machine-like patterns. This phenomenon is described in the study as people 'making themselves more compatible with artificial intelligence.'

'ROBOTS RESEMBLE HUMANS, HUMANS RESEMBLE ROBOTS'

Inci Toral-Manson from the University of Birmingham in the UK stated that customer service robots imitating humans to trigger cognitive and emotional responses in people leads to a mutual interaction, saying, “While robots resemble humans, humans are starting to resemble robots. We define this situation as 'robotic humanity.'”

'ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS CHANGING HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVES'

Selcen Öztürkcan from Linnaeus University in Sweden highlighted that due to the mirroring reflex, people internalize the patterns of artificial intelligence. The research emphasized that algorithmic systems could narrow the perception of one's unique self, make individuals more predictable according to the algorithm, and that companies should use these technologies within ethical principles.

Experts warned that due to the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence from customer service to the healthcare and retail sectors, the long-term effects of these technologies on human psychology and identity should be carefully monitored.
