US Air Force Secretary Troy Meink spoke at the Air, Space, and Cyber Conference. Confirming for the first time that his country has deployed a space weapon in orbit, Meink acknowledged having such offensive capabilities, stating, “This weapon is necessary to protect US forces against enemy actions. The US is prepared for emerging threats.”
Meink did not share information about the weapon's capabilities or when it was placed in orbit.
