On September 14, a reception was held in Baku in honor of the participants of the 7th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as the International Scientific-Practical Conference dedicated to prominent Azerbaijani thinker and scholar Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani.
In his remarks, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, described the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity as a landmark event, also highlighting Azerbaijan’s ongoing large-scale reconstruction efforts, as well as the restoration of cultural and religious monuments in Garabagh.
He also stressed the importance of the existing friendly and brotherly ties among the OTS member states, as well as cooperation between the OTS state and religious leaders.
Other speakers included Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Safi Arpaguş, Head of Türkiye’s Directorate of Religious Affairs.
