“Significant work is underway along the 224-kilometer area, while efforts to establish new transport infrastructure connecting mainland Azerbaijan are progressing rapidly,” said Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a joint press conference held with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
"Around 95 percent of the road construction from mainland Azerbaijan to the Armenian border has already been completed. The railway project, meanwhile, has reached around 75 percent completion. Both projects on Azerbaijan's mainland are planned to be completed in the first half of 2027," Minister Bayramov noted.
