According to a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Esad Hasan Shaybani held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. It was reported that the discussion covered bilateral relations between the two countries, opportunities to enhance cooperation within the framework of the positive momentum achieved in relations, and regional security issues.
During the conversation, Minister Shaybani expressed satisfaction with the steps taken by the US towards lifting sanctions imposed on Syria.
