A panel meeting entitled “The Middle Corridor as a Catalyst for Regional Integration and Infrastructure-Based Development” got underway in Baku on the sidelines of the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Analytical Centers of the Organization of Turkic States.
Experts representing analytical centers and organizations from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are participating in the event.
The panel meeting is moderated by Fariz Ismayilzade, Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy of Azerbaijan.
The panel addresses the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor within the Turkic World Vision 2040, its role in strengthening regional connectivity, and opportunities to bring the Turkic states closer together both physically and economically.
The discussion also focuses on the financing of major infrastructure projects, the role of multilateral development banks, sovereign wealth funds, and public-private partnerships, as well as the diversification of trade routes.
