US Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine spoke at the Air, Space, and Cyber Conference held near Washington, D.C. Caine stated that a new era in warfare has begun following the US's announcement of deploying weapons in space for the first time, saying, "American forces must prepare for war not only in Earth's orbit but also around the Moon."
Caine informed military personnel and industry representatives that the US military must adapt now to be ready to "fight, endure, and win anywhere from the ocean floor to the Moon's orbit."
