Lebanese President Aoun Meets with French President Macron
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun discussed bilateral relations and efforts to end Israeli attacks during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace.

According to a statement from the Lebanese Presidency, President Joseph Aoun met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace in Paris. During the meeting, efforts to end Israeli attacks within the framework of the Lebanon-U.S.-Israel negotiations and the 'Framework Agreement' were evaluated.

During the meeting, President Aoun thanked his counterpart Macron for France's support to Lebanon, its close monitoring of the country's situation, and its contributions to strengthening state authority, sovereignty, and official institutions. Aoun also expressed his appreciation for the joint initiative launched by Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni regarding the period following the expiration of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mandate.

It was conveyed that there was an agreement to continue contacts, develop cooperation in various fields, especially in the economy and energy sectors, and restart oil and natural gas exploration activities in Lebanese maritime blocks.
