The United Nations (UN) has reportedly approved the decision allowing Palestinian President Abbas to address the General Assembly via video conference. The proposal, submitted by Palestine, was voted on in the General Assembly. 152 countries voted 'yes' to the decision permitting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who was denied a visa by the US for next week's 81st UN General Assembly meetings, to address the Assembly with a pre-recorded video. In the vote, the US, Israel, and Paraguay voted 'no', while Colombia, Honduras, Panama, and Peru abstained.
