Iran: Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until our conditions are met
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said, “The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until our conditions are met.”

The Iranian media shared the speech of Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to the members of the Iranian Parliament. Ghalibaf, who stated that they are following a 'rational and non-negotiable' stance, reported that Iran's messages and conditions have been conveyed to the USA through intermediaries. Ghalibaf said, “As long as these conditions are not met, the legitimate rights of the Iranian people are not recognized, and the USA does not fulfill its commitments, there will be no return to the pre-negotiation period and the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened. We believe that the dilemma of war or negotiation is not realistic, and that both fighting and negotiating are necessary. At the necessary moment, we must repel the enemy with all our military capacity and strike heavy blows. However, at a time when we have achieved a significant victory on the ground and the enemy is in a weak position, we must consolidate these gains with diplomatic tools,” he said.
