On September 22, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic in Baku.
The consultations were led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, and Marie Chatardová, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic.
They reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between the two countries and exchanged views on the cooperation agenda in political, economic, humanitarian, and other spheres.
The Deputy Foreign Ministers also reviewed existing plans to expand the legal framework between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
The meeting also focused on issues related to interaction on international platforms, the development of cooperation within various international organizations, and mutual support for candidacies.
The officials also exchanged views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda. Fariz Rzayev briefed the Czech side on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the steps being taken to ensure lasting peace, as well as on large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of further developing Azerbaijan-Czech relations based on mutual interest and trust, as well as ongoing political dialogue and regular contacts.
