Pakistan reported conducting airstrikes on 10 locations in Afghanistan following the detection of drones taking off from Afghanistan.
Pakistan's Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated on his social media account that there was an attempt by some unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) taking off from Afghan territory to enter Pakistan on September 23, and they prevented it. Tarar said, “Pakistan, exercising its right to legitimate defense, conducted precise air and UAV strikes on 10 targets in Afghanistan used for the launch and storage of these UAVs. We will not tolerate any attack from Afghanistan towards Pakistani territory. Any violation of Pakistan's sovereignty will be met with an immediate and decisive response.”
Stating that Pakistan is not seeking to escalate tensions, Tarar called on the Afghan administration to urgently stop the attacks. Tarar commented, “Pakistan maintains its commitment to regional peace, dialogue, and constructive cooperation. This commitment should not be misunderstood as unlimited tolerance for weakness or hostile actions.”
