President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan answered the questions of journalists after leaving Hz. Ali Mosque in Üsküdar where he performed Friday prayers. Asked about the tension between Israel and Iran, Erdoğan said, "Dear friends, you know that Israel is saying different things right now, Iran is putting forward different opinions in the same way. In other words, you can't really say that Iran is telling the truth in its statements. You cannot say Israel's at all. In the meantime, they also bring America forward. In the statements made by America, there are words like "we knew about it" or "we didn't know about it". And much more importantly, in the United Nations Security Council, we see that America is siding with Israel in the latest statements. And while everyone else is siding with Palestine, unfortunately, America is again taking a stance by siding with Israel. We were not expecting anything different anyway, and we had the opportunity to see this very clearly again."
