Italian political scientist: Middle Corridor is turning Azerbaijan into the geoeconomic center of Eurasia

The development of the Middle Corridor is rapidly changing the geoeconomic map of Eurasia, making Azerbaijan a key transit hub between East and West, Stefano Braghiroli, Italian political scientist and director of the European Studies Program, said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to him, against the backdrop of global instability and the shift in traditional trade routes, the importance of alternative corridors is growing dramatically. "The Middle Corridor not only complements existing routes but is becoming a full-fledged strategic alternative to routes passing through neighboring countries," the expert noted, adding that Azerbaijan's geographic location makes the country a natural bridge between Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Europe.

According to the Italian political scientist, it is through such routes that a new logic of international trade and economic connectivity will emerge in the coming years.
