The Azerbaijan House operating in the Finnish capital of Helsinki hosted an introductory event highlighting the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
The project specialists Pia Halttunen (national projects) and Jaana Sävel (international projects), Jatta Lehtonen, the communication specialist at the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), as well as other guests attended the event.
During the event, guests were provided with an overview of Azerbaijan’s culture and history, alongside a presentation on the mission and ongoing activities of the Azerbaijan House in Finland.
The meeting highlighted the global mission of Azerbaijan Houses, which serve as crucial hubs for the diaspora. These centers are dedicated to uniting the Azerbaijani community worldwide while actively promoting the country’s rich culture, language, and traditions on an international stage.
The event also provided insight into Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora’s ongoing efforts to support the diaspora. The guests were informed about various projects aimed at organizing Azerbaijani communities abroad and supporting diaspora organizations.
The event concluded with an exchange of views on future cooperation opportunities and development of joint initiatives.
