Baku hosts international conference on "Law and Justice in Sport: New Anti-Doping Framework"

The opening ceremony of the international conference "Law and Justice in Sport: New Anti-Doping Framework" marking the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" was held by the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA).

The event began with performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.

AMADA CEO Tahmina Taghi-zada noted that the primary objective of the organization is to bring up clean and fair athletes. She highlighted the importance of cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in this area.

Stefan Trinks, Manager, Government and NADO Relations of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), expressed his confidence that the event will be productive. According to him, this conference is a pivotal platform for exchanging experience and discussing new approaches in the anti-doping area.

The conference, which will continue in sessions, will feature topics such as fair and honest competition, the rule of law in sports, the formation of new anti-doping rules, as well as human rights in sports.
