World and Olympic handball champions Denmark added the European championship title to their trophy cabinet on Sunday after a 34-27 win against Germany, according to DPA.
Led by top scorer Simon Pytlick, with eight goals, the Danes won on home soil in Herning to claim their first European title in 14 years and third overall.
Denmark have not lost against Germany since 2016, with victories including a 39-26 demolition in the 2024 Olympics gold medal match in Paris, 40-30 at last year's world championships and 31-26 in the group stage at the Euros.
Germany were in the final for the first time since they won the title in 2016.
Earlier, Croatia defeated Iceland 34-33 to claim bronze.
