Renowned FIFA referee Davide Massa of Italy has been appointed to officiate the second-leg encounter of the Champions League play-off round between England’s Newcastle United FC and Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ.
The renowned FIFA official will be assisted by his fellow countrymen Filippo Meli and Stefano Alassio, with Luca Pairetto serving as the fourth official. Daniele Ciffi will be the video assistant referee (VAR) of the game, assisted by Christian Dingert from Germany.
The match will be played at the iconic St. James' Park stadium on the night of February 24-25, with kick-off slated for 00:00 Baku time.
In the first leg of the play-off round held in Baku, the English side secured a 6-1 victory.
