The U23 European Wrestling Championships in Zrenjanin, Serbia, enters its third day, with Azerbaijan’s female wrestlers set to launch their medal quest.
Azerbaijani wrestlers Asmar Jankurtaran (50kg), Gultekin Shirinova (55kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59kg) will test their mettle on the mat today.
Earlier in the competition, Vasif Baghirov (57kg) and Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79kg) won silver medals, while Musa Aghayev (66kg), Ramik Heybatov (70kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97kg) secured bronze medals for Azerbaijan.
The U-23 European Championships is scheduled to conclude on March 15.
