Azerbaijani female wrestler Gunay Gurbanova achieved a remarkable feat by winning the gold medal at the U23 European Championships held in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
Gurbanova, competing in the 59kg weight category, secured a decisive victory over Belarusian athlete Marta Hetmanava to claim the European title.
Another Azerbaijani wrestler Gultakin Shirinova also showcased a strong performance in the 55kg weight class to reach the final of the competition, ultimately earning a silver medal for her country.
