Azerbaijani gymnasts earned eight medals in international competitions last week.
Gymnast Nikita Simonov secured third place at the FIG Apparatus Gymnastics World Cup in Antalya, Türkiye, scoring 14.100 points in the final.
At the Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup Alkmaar in the Netherlands, the mixed synchronized duo of Seljan Mahsudova and Magsud Magsudov won silver with a score of 51.090, while the men’s synchronized pair Huseyn Abbasov and Magsud Magsudov earned bronze.
At the Dutch Trampoline Open, Azerbaijani gymnasts triumphed in the individual events: Seljan Mahsudova (56.580) and Magsud Magsudov (60.030) both won gold, while Huseyn Abbasov (57.410) claimed bronze.
In the synchronized program, Omar Gasimli and Muhammad Hasanli won gold with 43.680 points, while the pair of Magsud Magsudov and Huseyn Abbasov earned silver with 51.530 points.
Seljan Mahsudova also received a special trophy for delivering the most difficult routine in the women’s category.
