The opening ceremony of the International President Cup 2026 regatta, dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, was held in the Aghdara district.
In his opening remarks, Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, described holding the competition in the Sarsang reservoir as crucial and gratifying. He also hailed an excellent organization of the event.
Subsequently, the athlete performances in academic rowing, kayaking, canoeing, dragon boat racing, and sailing took place.
The competition will run from April 30 to May 1 in the Kur Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir.
