The HOGGA startup, founded by Yusif Yusifov, Senior Lecturer at Baku Engineering University (BEU) and developed by a team of the university's graduates, has been awarded first place in the global innovation program "Startup School 4: Five Continents - 500 Startups.
At the final stage of the program, held in Baku and attended by 500 startups from various countries, HOGGA stood out with its innovative technological solution and was declared the winner by the jury.
The team, consisting of BEU "Information Security" graduates Gulchin Jumayeva, Sama Dostaliyeva, Mehriban Alizade, and Riyad Aghazade, presented a new approach to the digitalization of businesses through HOGGA.
HOGGA is an artificial intelligence-based platform that makes it possible to create custom software tailored to businesses' needs without requiring programming knowledge. The platform aims to make the digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses easier, faster, and more accessible. The platform's main distinguishing feature is that artificial intelligence acts not as a tool that writes program code, but in the role of a business analyst. The entrepreneur explains the business's needs and desired functions by communicating with the AI in writing or by voice. The AI analyzes the incoming requirements, identifying and structuring data objects, their attributes, and their interrelationships. In the next stage, HOGGA's special software generator creates program code based on the formulated model. This code relies on components that were prepared in advance, built on object-oriented programming principles, tested, and have passed security checks.
Thus, instead of artificial intelligence freely generating code, custom applications are formed on the basis of pre-built and verified software components. As a result, the entrepreneur can obtain web, mobile, and desktop software tailored to the specifics of his or her business.
This success of the HOGGA startup in the international program demonstrates the potential of BEU's academic staff and graduates to combine scientific knowledge and practical skills with innovative initiatives to create technological solutions aimed at real business needs.
