TURKPA, TÜİB explore enhancing cooperation

On February 4, Ramil Hasan, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), met with Hüseyin Büyükfırat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists Public Union (TÜİB).

During the meeting, the parties held an exchange of views on the prospects for future bilateral cooperation.

Hüseyin Büyükfırat underscored that TURKPA’s existing capabilities make a substantial contribution to the advancement of parliamentary diplomacy, the strengthening of relations between legislative bodies, as well as the further development of economic and trade cooperation. He expressed his strong confidence that TURKPA would play a pivotal role in facilitating the adoption of joint decisions and harmonized legislative acts among the brotherly states.

In turn, TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan expressed his appreciation to Hüseyin Büyükfırat for the visit. He noted that a number of fraternal institutions operate within the framework of the Turkic States, highlighting in particular the Turkic Investment Fund. The Secretary General emphasized that the adoption and implementation of common and model legislation, together with coordinated parliamentary policies, constitute an important foundation for enhancing economic, trade, and political relations among the brotherly member states of TURKPA. Ambassador Hasan also drew attention to the potential for large-scale projects initiated by business-related organizations to be financed by the Turkic Investment Fund.

During the meeting, the sides agreed to further strengthen relations between TURKPA and TÜİB and to actively work in this direction.
