Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, strongly condemned Iran’s drone attack on Nakhchivan Airport in Azerbaijan.
Cirielli noted that two people were injured and civilian infrastructure was damaged. He stated: “I express full solidarity with the Government and people of Azerbaijan over this serious incident. Targeting civilian infrastructure is unacceptable, irresponsible, and criminal. This attack adds to Iran’s recent series of terror attacks in the Gulf and the region, deliberately striking infrastructure and civilians in blatant disregard of international law.”
