TURKPA Secretary General, Ambassador Ramil Hasan met with Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova, as part of his visit to the capital city of Astana.
During the meeting, Elvira Azimova provided information on the results of the national referendum, which envisaged amendments to approximately 84 percent of the Constitution of Kazakhstan. Azimova highlighted the significant contributions these reforms will make to the future development of Kazakhstan, noting that such innovations could potentially be implemented within the framework of Model Laws to support reform processes in other Turkic states.
In turn, Ambassador Hasan congratulated the brotherly people of Kazakhstan on this pivotal new chapter in their history. Ambassador Hasan emphasized that the reform-oriented constitutional changes would significantly contribute to the development of the Kazakh people. He further noted that incorporating the key innovations reflected in the Constitution into the legislative frameworks of all member states through Model Laws, within the scope of inter-parliamentary cooperation, would be highly beneficial.
The meeting was also attended by the TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Talgat Aduov, the Deputy Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakyt Nurmukhanov, the Head of the International Cooperation and Organizational Support Department Zhanna Nazarova, the Deputy Head of the same department, Bibigul Asilova, the Head of the Department for Preliminary Consideration of Appeals and Reception Elmira Kaliyeva, the Head of the Analytics and Constitutional Proceedings Department Amir Umarov, and the Head of the International Cooperation and Protocol Sector Zhuldyz Kamzina.
