Azerbaijan, France explore opportunities for economic cooperation

Members of the French Club of Western Business Leaders and Managers met with Leyla Abdullayeva, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France, at the Cultural Center of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris.

The meeting was organized at the request of 23 large groups from the city of Nantes and surrounding regions, as well as heads of small and medium-sized companies.

The company leaders were primarily interested in obtaining information about Azerbaijan’s economy, the investment environment, and opportunities for cooperation. The key topic of discussion was strengthening economic relations between the two countries and familiarizing participants with Azerbaijan’s business environment. French businessmen seeking export trade opportunities were briefed on Azerbaijan’s economic and investment potential.

Participants, representing companies from diverse sectors, discussed prospects for cooperation in communications, higher education, industry, engineering, real estate, medicine, and information technologies.

Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva provided detailed information about Azerbaijan, highlighting the country’s regional role and economic development. She also discussed the growth of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France and the activities of French companies in Azerbaijan. The ambassador emphasized that Azerbaijan remains open to foreign investment and that numerous major projects are being implemented, particularly in transport, energy, and infrastructure development.
