An Azerbaijani delegation led by Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), visited Hungary at the invitation of Attila Nagy, the country’s President of the National Election Office, to monitor the parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in Hungary on April 12.
As part of the visit, Mazahir Panahov will meet with his counterpart Attila Nagy and other officials, as well as with the heads of the supreme electoral authorities of various countries involved in observing elections.
During the meetings, the sides will exchange experience in the field of election management, discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
The CEC representatives will familiarize themselves with pre-election campaign in the capital Budapest, and will also observe the voting process at polling stations on election day.
The Central Election Commission is also represented in the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission monitoring the parliamentary elections in Hungary.
