WHO: Countries should be prepared for new hantavirus cases
World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus issued warnings about the hantavirus outbreak.

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke at a press conference held in Madrid, Spain's capital. Ghebreyesus thanked Spain for its 'solidarity' in accepting the ship in distress. Noting that the current situation does not indicate a larger outbreak, Ghebreyesus stated, “However, considering the long incubation period, it is likely that we will see new cases in the coming weeks.”
