Kremlin: If Zelensky calls, Putin will answer the phone
Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov stated that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls, Russian President Vladimir Putin will answer the phone.
Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov spoke to the Russian press about the possibility of European representatives participating in the trilateral negotiations planned to be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), regarding Ukraine. Ushakov, stating that they have working-level contacts with the Americans, said, "Therefore, it makes sense for the first rounds of negotiations to be held in a trilateral format."
Ushakov noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, stating, "He is sending signals through various channels."
To the question 'If Zelensky calls, will Putin answer the phone?' Ushakov replied, "I think Putin will answer. Putin has never refused to meet."
