Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a phone conversation with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar yesterday. Dar informed Wang about the latest developments in the Iran-U.S. negotiations mediated by his country. Thanking China for its support of Pakistan's efforts, Dar expressed a desire to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China in maintaining regional peace and stability.

During the conversation, Wang reiterated China's principles and stance, appreciating Pakistan for its efforts in promoting negotiations between the U.S. and Iran and extending the temporary ceasefire. Wang expressed hope that Pakistan would intensify its mediation efforts while maintaining its credibility, contribute to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and achieve peace in the region as soon as possible. Wang also conveyed that China would continue to support Pakistan's mediation efforts and contribute accordingly.
