Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bekayi: Find the Moral Courage to Stand on the Right Side of History
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi, in an open letter addressed to the world and all faith groups, stated that remaining silent means being complicit in evil, calling for people to "find the moral courage to stand on the right side of history."

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi published an open letter on his social media account addressing all people and faith groups, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or nationality. In his message, Bekayi highlighted the diplomatic process, stating, “While the US and Israel were conducting diplomatic negotiations with Iran, they launched this war of aggression for the second time in less than a year on February 28, 2026. This is not just a war over land, resources, or geopolitics. It is a war that will define the meaning of 'good' and 'evil' in our time and in the future.”

Describing the process as a decisive struggle for the future of humanity and the achievements of civilization, Bekayi said, “On one side stand those who take pleasure in violating every rule of war and basic human values, firing the latest missiles at women's sports halls to test their destructive power. This is a war between those who boast of torpedoing unarmed ships 'for more fun' and those who make extraordinary efforts to protect innocent lives.”

Bekayi noted that it is a struggle of a people defending their homeland with their own strength against those who produce excuses to legitimize brutality, stating, “The conscience of humanity is not yet dead. But in such times, silence is complicity with evil. If you reject the path of barbarism and domination, find the moral courage to speak, act, and stand on the right side of history before the world is dragged into the abyss of lawlessness and subjugation. The choice is yours, and history will remember it.”
