Indian and Russian foreign ministers meet ahead of BRICS summit

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in New Delhi ahead of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar announced on his social media account that he had a productive meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov ahead of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting. Jaishankar stated, "During the meeting, cooperation in areas such as the India-Russia strategic partnership, trade, investment, energy, and labor mobility was discussed. Global and multilateral issues were also addressed."
The BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting will be held on May 14-15, hosted by India.
